This is a collection of high contrast process images. This collection started with the bird series. I developed a process of high contrast imaging on an isolated black background.

Once I had one bird image that really worked, I had to have more. Alll of my series work is in odd numbers. (It suits me and my personality.) So I have to have 3, 5, 7? I found something that worked, then went out and produced similar work that fit the theme.

I thought it funny that the birds in my earliest work didn't look very unusual without legs. For my images, they made the back of the bird look less than elegant. I removed them. When I did the image had completely different feel.

I will be doing much more work for this collection.
